Libby Piggott
Libby is our Community Mentor, meeting young people referred to LUX to provide 1:1 support and encouragement. She is also our Roundhill Youth Worker and is setting up a weekly youth group for school years 7-13 and another club for school years 5&6.
About Libby: She loves playing sports, going to the gym and is a semi-professional football player! She enjoys being in the outdoors and going on adventures. You may also find her drinking good coffee with pals whilst playing (and beating them at) cards.
Renit Tsui
Larkhall Youth Worker
Renit joined the LUX team in October to lead and develop our twice weekly youth clubs in Larkhall, Bath.
About Renit: Not only does she lead our Larkhall youth club she also volunteers with Motus Dance Academy!
Freja George
Motus Dance Co-ordinator
Freja works alongside Sam to deliver Motus Dance Academy.
About Freja: She used to come to Motus as a young person and therefore understands where the dancers are coming from and loves everything about Motus.
Rachel Hornsby
Schools Team Lead
Rachel is our Schools Team Lead and heads up our Connect Mentoring Programme, which means not only does she mentor young people but she recruits and manages our growing team of volunteer mentors.
About Rachel: She has lots of experience supporting young people through youth and community projects.
Nick Blythe
Peasedown Youth Team Leader and Somer Valley Lead
Nick runs the youth work over at The Hive Community Centre in Peasedown. He is also working to develop our work in the Somer Valley area.
About Nick: He was born in Sydney, Australia. He has 7 siblings and 6 parents (big family) and he is super experienced working with young people as he has been doing it for the last 16 years!
Sam Ludwell
Motus Dance Co-ordinator
Sam leads Motus Dance Academy alongside Freja. She has been part of the LUX team since she was 18 years old where she joined as part of her gap year!
About Sam: Sam is mum to lovely Effie and excitable Robyn. She loves watching zombie movies and is great at making others see the best in themselves and their possibilities! In her ‘spare time’ she exercises at least 5 times a week!
Sam Packer
Schools Worker
Sam is Chaplain at St Mark’s Church of England Secondary School. Prior to joining our team, Sam was a Trustee for many years & before that was part of our Schools Team.
About Sam: She supports Liverpool FC and enjoys baking cakes & tap dancing. She is Brown Owl at her local Brownie pack in her spare time & wants the young people she works with to know that God loves them no matter what.
Jane van Haaps
Youth and Schools Worker
Jane is our Youth and Community worker in Timsbury.
About Jane: Jane did youth work in Plymouth, Sevenoaks and for BANES Council before joining the LUX team in October 2018. Before having kids, she loved to travel. She has a heart for prayer and creating community with young people.
