We’re passionate about providing young people with the support they need so that they can thrive in school
Working with young people we know that sometimes what’s going on in their lives affects their school experience.
We provide staff and volunteer mentors to support young people in a 1:1 setting every week, to support them as they face particular challenges. We give them space to share what’s going on if they want to, or a space that is quiet every week for a minimum of 10 weeks with a mentor. The mentor is there to listen and provide support as young people work out what positive steps they can take to improve their lives. Students are referred to the mentoring project by their pastoral teams. We support young people struggling with their anxiety, self-esteem, family breakdown, bereavement, family health crises and any other area of challenge that the school feels a pupil needs support for.
I really like our sessions they really help me get through the day
We work in a number of secondary schools across Bath. If you are a member of staff at a school and would like to find out more about the support we can offer your pupils please email our lead schools worker, Rachel.
