Youth Work
We run youth clubs in Peasedown St John, Timsbury, Larkhall & Southdown and run Motus Dance Academy in Southdown.
We provide safe spaces for young people to meet with friends, run by trusted adults who are there to get to know them, support and encourage them. Our youth clubs are all open access, which means that your young person can come and go as they please, although we do ask them to sign in and out so that we know who we’re looking out for.
A survey of young people coming to our youth clubs found:
97% had improved relationships
40% were getting into less trouble, with 38% reducing police involvement
95% reported improved life satisfaction

Mentoring
We run mentoring in schools, working with young people that are referred to us by their pastoral teams. If you want to speak to someone at LUX about what your child will experience when mentored by LUX then please contact Rachel our Lead Schools Worker who would love to chat with you.
We measure impact based on resilience, self-esteem and positive relationships. 100% of mentees showed improvement in at least 1 area, 95% in 2 areas and 74% in all 3 areas.
