Peasedown St John Youth Support Worker OR Youth Worker

6 Hours per week | £24,786-£29,606 (depending on qualifications and experience) pro-rata | 7% pension

We are looking to appoint a part-time Youth Support Worker or Youth Worker to deliver an after-school drop-in once a week at the Hive Community Centre, Peasedown-St-John. This exciting role is in partnership with Peasedown-St-John Methodist Church, St John’s Church and St Joseph Catholic Church. Depending on your experience the post holder will support or help lead our work with female young people, helping us to engage with more girls in the community.

The successful candidate will be a female Christian with a passion for working with girls in the community from a range of backgrounds.

The ability to work both as part of a team and on your own is essential. If you are applying as the youth worker you will also have the responsibility of recruiting and managing volunteers.

You will have excellent relational, interpersonal and communication skills, whether working with young people, parents or professionals. The post holder will be part of a creative and supportive team which believes that a difference can be made in the lives of young people, particularly girls, in the local area.
